Reproduction Packard Hood Ornament & Radiator Cap – Bale-Wire Type
They call her the Goddess of Speed. Once she graced the hoods of distinctive Packard automobiles, wings back as if in flight, arms outstretched, holding a disc symbolic of a tire.
This Packard hood ornament and radiator cap set fits 1930 Packard 745 and 845 models. Both pieces are new castings and triple chrome plated. The set includes the bale-wire type radiator cap.
Designed by John D. Wilson, Packard’s Goddess of Speed was based on Nike, the divine charioteer of Greek mythology.
