The Spirit of Ecstasy (also called Eleanor, Silver Lady, or Flying Lady)
Baron John Montagu commissioned his friend, sculptor Charles Robinson Sykes, to design the Spirit of Ecstasy. The sculpture carries with it a story about secret passion between Montagu, a pioneer of the automobile movement, and editor of The Car Illustrated magazine and the model for the emblem, Eleanor Velasco Thornton.
The piece cast in brass and triple chrome plated.
